Honeywell HPA300 Review

The Honeywell HPA300 is one of the top rated air purifiers available. Quiet, easy to move, and powerful, this is one medium sized room air purifier that you should consider for your home.

PROS

The Honeywell True HEPA Allergen Remover, 465 Sq Ft, HPA300 has a quiet fan that circulates and filters the air several times an hour. Its odor absorbing pre-filter helps to reduce unpleasant odors and capture large particles like dust, pet fur, or lint. What’s nice about this air purifier is that the TRUE-HEPA filters capture up to 99.97% of particles, 0.3 microns or larger, from the air that passes through the filters. This means that while using this product, your family receives clean breathing air.

The Honeywell HPA300 air purifier has multiple timer settings so that you can purify your air for 2, 4, or 8 hours at a time. It also includes a filter replacement display, so you always know when to replace your filter. Good news for people who are using this in the bedroom, the Honeywell HPA300 air purifier is so quiet that it allows you to get an undisturbed rest. There’s even a light dimmer feature allowing you to control brightness so that the LED display doesn’t bother you either. This unit is suitable for large rooms measuring 465 square feet or less. It is of very good quality construction and is easily moved from room to room, making it perfect for a medium sized room.

CONS

This air purifier lacks many features, such as an air-quality sensor and an auto-mode that runs the Honeywell HPA300 air purifier for longer than 8 hours. It has relatively high filter replacement costs and relatively high operating costs, so if you are looking for a more affordable option, you should consider one of the alternatives below. Many Honeywell HPA300 owners have reported that the front compartment on this humidifier is difficult to close properly. Depending on the size of your space, you may prefer a smaller air purifier, since this one measures at 24.02 inches x 22.05 inches x 12.99 inches making it difficult to fit in tight spaces.

MY RECOMMENDATION / This product is recommended for anyone with severe allergies to indoor pets, pollens, dust, and for anyone that has breathing problems or is asthmatic. It’s also a great option for parents who are concerned that the air their children are breathing is free of allergens and mold. If you want the air purified of a space under 500 square feet then I highly recommend the Honeywell True HEPA Allergen Remover, 465 Sq Ft, HPA300.

What makes the Honeywell HPA300 a good air purifier?

TAPPING the Turbo icon again will return the air purifier to the previous cleaning setting. To shut OFF, tap the Power symbol until the air purifier shuts off.

What are the replacement parts for the Honeywell HPA300?

There are two filters to replace. The Honeywell Filter R True TRUE-HEPA Replacement Filter HRF-R3 needs to be replaced once a year for best performance. The Honeywell Universal Carbon Air Purifier Replacement Pre-Filter should be replaced every 3 months. Installing the filters and removing the door is very simple, so replacing parts every few months is easy to do.

How easy is it to clean the Honeywell HPA300?

It is recommended that you clean the air purifier at least once every 3 months and before extended storage. A clean filter maximizes the amount of dust and allergens captured and helps optimize the performance of the entire purifier. Use a dry cloth to wipe the external surfaces of the air purifier. Do not use water, wax polish, or any chemical solution. Do not wash the filters, washing them will ruin them.
