Here are some delicious ice cream recipes.
Simple Homemade Ice Cream
Separate:
- 6 eggs. Beat whites until stiff
Mix:
- egg yolks with 3 tall cans evaporated milk; and
- 1 ½ tsp. vanilla and 6 drops lemon extract

Pour into old fashioned freezer and freeze.
Homemade Ice Cream
- 9 eggs
- 2 tbsp. vanilla
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cups sugar
- dash of salt
- 1/2 gal. to 3 qts. Milk
Beat eggs until very frothy. Use your electric mixer. Add sugar, vanilla, salt and 1 qt. of milk. Continue to beat. Pour into 1 1/2 gal. old fashioned freezer. Gently stir in cream and whatever amount of milk is necessary to make freezer the right fullness for freezing, according to freezer manufacturer. Pack with crushed ice and rock salt and freeze. Use vanilla according to taste.
Ice Cream Roll
- 3 eggs
- 3 tbsp. milk
- 1 1/3 cup sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
- powdered sugar
Beat eggs until smooth. Gradually add sugar, milk and vanilla. Beat again, for at least 2 minutes. Combine the dry ingredients and fold into egg mixture like you would an angel food cake. Line a 12x18x1 inch jelly roll pan with waxed paper and pour mixture into pan. Bake for 10 minutes at 400 degrees. Sprinkle powdered sugar on towel. Invert baked roll on towel. Roll in towel until cool. When cool, spread with your favorite ice cream and roll up jelly roll fashion. Slice. Store in freezer until ready to serve.
