Peanut Butter Candy

Easy Peanut Butter Candy

  • 1/2 pound margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1 pound box powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cocoa
Melt the margarine, peanut butter and vanilla in a 2-quart saucepan. When all is melted, stir in powdered sugar and cocoa and blend thoroughly. Put in buttered 9-inch cake pan and cool in refrigerator until hard. Yield: 1 1/2 dozen pieces.






Here is another great candy recipe.


Peanut Butter Candy
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 egg whites, beaten stiff
  • 1 cup peanut butter
Combine the sugar, syrup and water in a 1-quart saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat and cook to hard-ball stage. Pour hot syrup over beaten egg whites in a thin stream, beating until the candy loses gloss and holds shape. Toss on a floured board; pat and roll lightly to 1/4 inch thickness. Spread with peanut butter and roll like jelly roll. Cut in 1-inch slices. Yield: 60 pieces.

Peanut Butter Crunch Candy
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup peanut butter, crunchy or plain
  • 2 cups quick-cooking oats, uncooked
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Cook the sugar, evaporated milk, butter and peanut butter over medium heat until mixture boils. Boil 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; add oats, marshmallows and vanilla. Stir the mixture until well blended and slightly thickened. Drop by teaspoonfuls on waxed paper. Let cool. Yield: 50 servings.
