Next there are home inspections, termite inspections and possibly repairs, appraisals before the final closing. Many realtors say they can sell your house quickly. However, the reality is that the typical days on market ( DOM) in your area is longer then it use to be. Ask your realtor what is the usual timeframe to sell a house in your area. Can you afford the time? The more expensive the house, the more time it takes to find a buyer.
Also, remember that the normal cost to sell a house is around 8% (6% in realtor fees and 2% in holding costs). So, this is
not usually a fast fix.
